Do We Get Along?
In a national survey, people were asked whether they could generally get along with members of other groups. This figure presents the results for five groups: Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Asian Americans, and Native Americans. Use the navigation at the bottom to explore each group's responses. The wording of the question was: "We hear a lot these days about how various groups in society get along with each other. I'm going to mention several groups and ask whether you think they generally get along with each other or generally do not get along with each other." So, in the "Asked of White Respondents" graph, Whites are asked how Whites get along with each ethnic group; in the "Asked of Black Respondents" graph, Blacks are asked how Blacks get along with each ethnic group, and so on.
